Knox County Is New Home For COTC

The old theater building on South Main Street in Mount Vernon became the new permanent campus for Central Ohio Technical College yesterday.

“While COTC has actually been offering classes in Mount Vernon for 20 years, it was three years ago that the college renewed our commitment to finding a permanent home in the area,” said Bonnie Coe, President of COTC.

The permanent home for the COTC Knox Campus was made possible because of the dedication of community and industry leaders to improve their local economy and to provide more rewarding job opportunities. COTC will offer some of its expanded Knox County curriculum in the building this fall, and will gradually occupy and renovate additional areas of the building as current tenant leases expire. Evertually, the facility is expected to serve a student population of 1,000 or more.
